Installation Procedure

CFRM tendons and reinforcements are used at the guide beams of the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line as non magnetic material preventing electric power loss due to induced current. The following are the construction procedures for The Yamanashi Maglev Test Line.


1 Pulling out the CFRM tendons from the reel image01

CFRM tendons are rolled and delivered to the reel of exclusive use. CFRM tendons are pulled out from here.

2 Placing the CFRM tendons

CFRM tendons are pulled out and arranged in a designated position.

3 Tensioning the CFRM tendons

Using the coupler of exclusive use of CFRM tendons, they connects with steel tendons and are tensioned.

4 Assembling the prefabricated CFRM

The prefabricated CFRM reinforcements are attached in a designated position.

5 Completion of the guide beam

The forms are removed, the guide beams are introduced prestress and it is completion of them.

Now the Maglev line is being tested. MAGLEV attains the maximum speed of 552 km/h in a manned vehicle run.
