The continuous fiber reinforcing materials(CFRM) introduced here are composite materials that combine the high strength, elasticity and heat resistance of carbon fiber, aramid fiber and glass fiber with epoxy resin and vinyl ester resin.
CFRM have high corrosion resistance and show promise as materials that will be able to reduce the maintenance and repair costs of concrete structures.
Their use is expected to increase along with the wider acceptance of the lifecycle cost (LCC) .
CFRM, as shown in the below photo, can be formed freely into rods, braids, strands and grids, according to their intended application.
